Today I spent the morning looking out the clubhouse windows with 90 other golfers, waiting for the storm to pass. It just wasn't going to happen today as the fairway's became rivers and the greens became lakes.
Today was the second day of the opening tournament for the Southern Texas PGA Senior Series. We arrived early to a short lived second day with the one thing golfers are always best to respond to --- lightening. Don't mess about with the high charged electric bolts from heaven when you have steel rods waving around in the air!
So, now I'm enjoying a Starbucks, over priced coffee(ish) drink, and looking forward to tomorrow when I will have my practice round for the Pre-Qualifier for the Shell Houston Open.
Yesterday was opening day for this, new to me, tour. I played very average. Maybe it was the added pressure from being the lone California representative in the Lone Star state? Yet maybe it is that I am working dilegently on the DreamSwing, which I had put aside for the last few months....can you say ADD?! It was so good coming back to the DSwing but it left a few gaps in my game. I don't know why I left the DreamSwing. I only used it for a few months and then abandoned it like we did the flooded course today. Why oh why do I do such silly things to myself.
But...I'm back and although it was a little shaky using it in tournamnet it was so good to start locking it in...again! Please don't let me leave you again DreamSwing.
The weather is suggesting clear skies and favorably warm temps for the qualifier. I press on towards a great goal with a good swing and the blessings of so many. Thanks much!
Hit'em hard and look up!
Byron
