We arrived home late...early on Saturday morning. We had some flight delays in Dallas. We made it out of the airport, off the ground and 30 minutes on our way home, when we were routed back to Dallas. On arriving, back in Dallas, we had firetrucks and EMT vehicles following us in. We're not sure why but we made it to the gate, switched planes, boarded and got back on our way. An 11:15PM arrival became 2:47AM arrival in Sacramento. Can you say, sleepy.
Monday, I took the Mizuno irons to Bob at Greentree Golf Club here in Vacaville. Bob's been a great help with my clubs. We spent the afternoon hitting on the range to discover what I need for loft and lie. I learned a lot. It is important to discover loft and lie and it's an easy process, but you have to know what to do with the process.
These are the little things that make a difference in how accurate you are, how consistent you can be. Of course the swing has a lot to do with this as well, but a few moments spent in discovering your loft and lie and having your clubs altered to fit, by a good local craftsman, is very helpful.
Once you have this done you need to check them regularly depending on how often you play. If you play more than once a week you should check your loft and lie every couple of months. Especially if you hit off of mats at the driving range. If you play once or twice a month you should check them every six to 12 months.
I'm headed into a very busy season of playing, with the addition of the Pepsi Tour, which is very encouraging. Our Favor500 Team is growing with room for more. Please consider joining us. I'm going to have a series of blogs on the Favor500 coming soon.
I get my clubs back today - YEA! I'll be out there today preparing for our first Pepsi Tour event, August 19 and 20. Would you like our 2007 schedule? Email: Byron@favor500.com and in the Subject write, 2007 Schedule.
Have a great day.
Byron
