I started to nod off a bit on the couch in the lobby and I think the front desk people felt sorry for me and found me a room soon after. What a blessing.
Then I went to the car to unload my clubs. One never knows what might happen. I've heard all kinds of stories about broken clubs, lost clubs, etc etc etc. So, I always seem to open my travel case with care to see what lies inside. All the clubs are there and seem to be intact. YEAH!
Speaking of packing. This is the weirdest packing trip I've been on. I don't know if it's gonna rain, be cold, be warm, be hot, be something for sure. My suitcase weighed as much as my golf cubs. That's pretty rare for me as I like traveling lite. But, with sweaters, raingear, varies kinds of gloves, hats, three dozen golf balls....what was I thinking?
I've connected with the head pro at the course and looking forward to starting my practice rounds. I will most likely go to the course tomorrow (Thursday, September 8) for a short practice session. It seems I've hurt my foot and it's causing some minor concerns. I think it would be wise to consider resting the foot as much as possible but as we walk I'm not sure how possible that is. Maybe I can get a dispensation to ride? But then you know my love for golf carts and riding so I'll do all I can to see my foot healed up and be out walking the course.
Hopefully I'll remember to take some pictures, possibly even some video footage, on the course over the next couple days.
Thanks so much for following my time in Europe and please connect with me on Facebook, email or right here.
All the best,
Byron
