Matts Going Fishin'
Matt is a great guy. I met him a couple years ago but at that time we didn't really get a chance to connect. He was busy, or I was busy, or something came up...yada yada yada.
I don't really know all about Matt yet, but the journey has started and so far I like his joy of life, his love for his children, his humor and his engineering mind. Matt, actually makes inventions work. He has the ability to create from an idea a working model. Right! This makes this such a cool team. I can vision and envision but I couldn't make a prototype. He sees things differently than I do and that's Sehr Kool!
Matt also likes speed. I have to tell a story on him just to break the ice. The day before I arrive in Phoenix, to work for the very first time on the course, he goes for a longboard ride down a mountain! Not at a skate park but down a mountain. When he tells the story it's very funny because of the group of 20/30 something women watching him turn a blind corner to an unknown steep grade that sent him flying into a ditch. I think he's going to be bored with my driving. Note to self: I've driven 155 on the Autobahn -- don't give Matt the Ferrari keys.
Matt's in for a great surprise as we play tournaments in Europe because fishing is a hobby for him. There's going to be some great streams and lakes to fish. One more note to self: Find lakes and streams after the tournaments.
Well, if I don't see you before Christmas --- Merry Christmas and hit'em hard and look up!
