Each tournament, or life event, that we involve ourselves in, provides the opportunity for education. The education helps move us forward from potential to reality. Today was an educational field trip on the course.
Being in Texas was good and I was very blessed by the weather which was very springy? Springish? Hummm...it was nice! We were in Humble, TX on the north side of Houston. I had the privledge of playing the same course only a month ago for the Shell Houston Open qualifier.
This game has many little facets that create the whole and when these facets start reflecting your game clearly then confidence and scores begin to create the breakthrough we are all working towards out here. Often the one facet that is easily overlooked and less followed is patience or plodding. I too fall into this category from time to time and yet during a practice round I rarely miss this great gift of plodding from shot to shot. I will gain on this facet, polish it and make it shine brightly. Today was not the best day for steady blodding but I did learn on my field trip that this virtue, this gift to the golfer is highly under rated and worth pursueing.
Now it is home to California in preparation for my US Open qualifier. Thanks for reading, following and responding.
Hit'em hard and look up,
Byron
