And 1 and 2 and 3 and...

It's January, have you walked out side recently. Here in NorCal make sure to take your umbrella and wear layers. It's not Minnesota but it sure isn't Hawaii...ahhh...Hawaii. Today it was 41* and wet with wild winds. When I'm out practicing in these conditions I think of my friends in Scotland. It is the land of golf. What were those crazy Scotts thinking of?

It's also a great time to work on your gym membership. Coming into the new year I knew that I wanted a work out that was more 'sport specific' especially golf specific. I read books, talked with several trainers and got on line. Then, I was looking through the Cleveland Golf website due to the fact that I'm playing a Cleveland Hibore Driver and I wanted to learn more about the company (I'm still playing Mizuno irons). While looking through the website I ran on to a great work out for golfers. It highlights VJ Singh one of the top golfers in the world with an incredible work ethic. It was the answer to my desire. Stop by the sight and pick up some great exercises for building golf muscles....we do too have muscles.

While you are on the Cleveland Golf website stop by the tribute to my name sake, Byron Nelson. He was an amazing man and still holds the record for most tournaments won in a row -- 11.

Crystal and I start our travels next week as we head to Southern California for my first PGA Tour Qualifier on Thursday, February 7. Please send your emails, write your notes, give us your blessings and send up those thoughts and prayers. I can't wait!
