I Thought?

It doesn't rain in California -- does it? Those golden hills have to turn green some how. We are in our rainy season. The temperatures have been turned down a bit and the winds have picked up. It's great for learning to play in Scotland!

We are looking forward to the new year and all that it will bring. 24 tournaments are scheduled along with clincis and Dream Big Dream Often conferences are being prepared. These are exciting times for me.

I'm working many hours on the driving range, on the putting green and on the course but when the course is soaked with rain they are closed and I'm doing all I can to keep active.

My training time in the gym is increased during this season so I can build greater cardio endurance and muscle strength especially my core. It's amazing how much strengthening our core helps even in our day to day life. In golf the core is a must.

If you can't play regularly during the winter months, utilize the indoors to build strength for the spring and practice your putting. I heard Gary Player mention a statistic that 70% of all shots made are from 100 yards and in. That means we need a lot of practice in putting, chipping and short shots.

Golf is a great game - Enjoy it any way you can. Happy New Year!
