Wow, this is Cool!

This week started with a two day tournament in the Sacramento area. Sunday we played, The Orchards and on Monday we played, The Hills. Both these courses are part of the Lincoln Hills golf facility. Very open courses with good greens. The greens had plenty of dips and curves, (we say undulation in the golfing world).

What was fantastic about this tournament is the opportunity I had to work with my teacher Mark Drohman. He came out to observe and give me insight into my swing and my game. This was truly what I have been praying for.

It started on the practice tee before the round began and the remainder of the day kept that flavor. We spent much of the day talking through issues of how to play the game professionally and deal with the mental aspects. How to create a stronger focus for each and every swing. Wow, it was super cool!

Mark had a technique for finding the areas of my game needing the most attention. I must say...this was the opportunity I have been desiring. Mark is my coach and to have him on the course in a tournament scenario was extremely encouraging, inspirational and helpful. I walked away with so much to work on and develop in my game. Yeah!

So, this week I will be practicing in preparation for my tournament next Monday at Catta Verdera in the Sacramento area. I will be joined by Justin Thompson the young and talented golfer and son of Scott Thompson.

See you on the course...or even at it.

ps. if you are from our region, look up Mark Drohman. He doesn't just change your swing to make it look 'right,' he works with you and who you are. Check it out.
